A Murder of Crows

ABOUT THIS GAME

A Murder of Crows [v.01] is a 2D platformer inspired by Unfair Mario (2011). The game was developed in 5 days and submitted to a private rapid ideation event, the theme being, 'A Crow Priest' (Dixit Card).

OBJECTIVES

Get the 'Crow Priest' (player) to the end of the map with minimum casualties. Use crows to scout the map and overcome frustrating obstacles.

CONTROLS

• Use the arrow keys or W, A, S, D to move
• Press 'E' to release and play as a crow
• Press 'R' to load the last checkpoint
• Press 'ESC' to pause the game
• Press 'spacebar' to jump (hold for longer jumps)
• MB1 - Interact with buttons

Work Times

The jam lasted for two weeks. Week 1 was for planning, and week 2, was for production. Below are my production days during week 2.

The art is outsourced (with the exception of the player sprite), and the sounds were obtained from either 'freesound.org' or YouTube (Copyright free). Under the game jam rules, I have credited the owners below.

Thanks very much for downloading my game! Any comments and or feedback will be greatly appreciated. This is only a demo to show off mechanics, and therefore it is a short game. P.S - Sorry if the music gets annoying... again... 

Known Bugs

• The player can scale up walls
• The crows can get lost in walls
• The crow sprite flips
